POST CONGRESS ITINERARIES
First Itinerary 18 - 20 September

After the end of the Congress, there will be two trips with different itineraries (transport will be by luxury coach). The visits are an integral part of the congress and will be accompanied by explanatory talks at the sites visited. The itineraries will enable participants to perceive the specific nature and variety in terms of territory, sector and time of the long process of industrialization in Italy. The itineraries take in ancient areas of manufacture, protoindustrial manufacturing centres and sites of modern industrialization. They focus mainly on the textiles, shipbuilding, steel, mechanical, and chemical sectors and on the most significant experiences in re use and promotion of the industrial heritage.
The first itinerary, which is shorter, is from the afternoon of 18 September to 20 September. The tour consists of visits to the most important industrial and museum sites in Naples and Campania:

	San Leucio - Caserta Monday 18th afternoon Departure from Terni at the end of the Congress. Visit to San Leucio silk manufacture and to Bourbon’s Colony. Hotel accommodation in Caserta. Evening at own disposal.
	Gragnano ("Città della Pasta") Tuesday 19th morning Transfer to Gragnano. Visit to the urban centre and explanation of the traditional and semi-handycraft system of producing pasta. Buffet offered by local producers of “Gragnano Città della Pasta” Consortium: tasting of pasta, wine and tipical product. Buffet offered by local producers
	Amalfi Tuesday 19th afternoon Tranfer to Amalfi. Visit to the “Valle dei Mulini” (Milani Museum and Paper factory at work). Visit to the “Fiordo di Furore” and to the open-air museum. Transfer and hotel accommodation in Naples. Evening at disposal.
	Bagnoli Wednesday 20th morning Visit to the former Ilva steel plants in Bagnoli and to the environmental reclamation works. Visit to the Pedestrian Walk in the northern wharf. Buffet.
	Napoli Wednesday 20th afternoon Visit to the “Città della Scienza” (City of Science) and to the Factory Museum. Explanation of Naples Municipality urban policy for former industrial area in the East and in the West of the city. In the evening departure to Terni.
