
After the end of the Congress, there will be two trips with different itineraries (transport will be by luxury coach). The visits are an integral part of the congress and will be accompanied by explanatory talks at the sites visited. The itineraries will enable participants to perceive the specific nature and variety in terms of territory, sector and time of the long process of industrialization in Italy. The itineraries take in ancient areas of manufacture, protoindustrial manufacturing centres and sites of modern industrialization. They focus mainly on the textiles, shipbuilding, steel, mechanical, and chemical sectors and on the most significant experiences in re use and promotion of the industrial heritage.
The first itinerary, which is shorter, is from the afternoon of 18 September to 20 September. The tour consists of visits to the most important industrial and museum sites in Naples and Campania:
