The start is on 14 September with a visit (in groups, between 14.30 and 17.30) to the Galleto-Monte Sant'Angelo hydroelectric power station, now belonging to the Endesa group, which was inaugurated in 1929 in order to fully exploit the waters of the Marmore waterfalls. This will be followed by a visit to the old electrochemical factory at Papigno, which, from 1901, was a site for the production of calcium carbide and calcium cyanamide, and is now the site of the Cinecittà studios. After the welcome dinner there will be a visit to the Marmore waterfalls.
On the 15 September (13.30 - 15.00) there will be a visit to the Multimedia Centre in Terni, part of the old “Bosco” workshop, a mechanical plant that was in operation from 1890 onwards and is now used for cultural purposes. This will be followed (from 16.30-18.00) by a visit to the linoleum factory at Narni Scalo, which dates back to 1896 and is now owned by the Tarkett group.

Following presentations of the history of the plants and the operations for their renovation and re-use (already accomplished or in the pipeline) participants will visit the old “Montemartini” power station (active since 1912) and now the site of a museum housing a fine collection from the Capitoline Museums, the old General Markets, for which a plan for the renovation and re-use has already been drawn up, and the old General Grain warehouses, now the site of the Fire service training college.
